*Ginger Sage Simple Syrup
Combine equal parts water to sugar (1 cup each), sliced fresh peeled ginger (roughly 1-2 oz), and 4-5 sage leaves, and add ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk continually until simmering. Remove from heat and let it sit for 5-10 minutes for the flavors to absorb. Remove and discard ginger and sage sprigs. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
