Add these aromatic cookies featuring fresh Basil and pecans to your dessert table this Holiday Season.
Ingredients
- 5 fresh Soli Organic Basil leaves
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 1/2teaspoons vanilla
Directions
- Heat oven to 300°F. In a food processor, place basil and sugar. Process on high speed until basil is finely chopped.
- In a 3-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat; stir in basil mixture, flour, salt, and cinnamon. Stir in pecans and vanilla; remove from heat.
- Onto ungreased cookie sheet, drop dough by 1/4 cupful; flatten to 1/4-inch thickness with the bottom of a drinking glass.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until golden. Remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack.
