Ingredients
- 5 large Soli Living Organic Basil leaves
- 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup*
- 2 oz Gin
- 1/2 oz elderflower liqueur
- 1 dash orange bitters
- Long orange twist, for garnish
Directions
- Muddle 4 Basil leaves, lemon juice, and simple syrup in the bottom of a mixing glass.
- Add the gin, elderflower liqueur, and bitters. Fill with ice.
- Shake for 10 to 12 seconds, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass rimmed with a piece of orange and dipped in raw sugar.
- Garnish with remaining Basil leaf and orange twist. Serve immediately
*Note: simple syrup. Mix ½ cup water with ½ cup sugar and bring to a boil over medium heat stirring constantly. Let cool.
